Creamed honey is the best way to eat local natural & unfiltered honey! It doesn’t run and make a mess – it stays where you put it!
It is pure honey, but it has undergone a controlled crystallization process. This makes it a solid, crystallized honey – but the crystals are small and round. Unlike with regular crystallized honey, it is not gritty with large, sharp crystals. This is often called “velvet on the tongue” due to its wonderful flavor and texture!
Creaming the honey has subtly change the flavor of the honey and makes it an entirely new product! Although great when mixed with 10-50% butter (with maybe a little cinnamon!), our standard creamed honey does not contain any butter or added flavorings. It is just PURE honey that has undergone controlled crystallization. Although it is pure honey, we STRONGLY encourage people to keep creamed honey refrigerated to maintain he best possible texture and flavor for an extended period of time.
Each area has its own unique honey flavor due to the flowers in the area of that particular area. The flavor of the honey will vary from year to year as the proportion of each type of flower varies! Natural honey WILL vary every harvest. Since we small batch bottle our honey, you can expect minor changes in flavor from year to year, season to season, beeyard to beeyard, and even hive to hive. The differences in taste are due to the differences in the particular “bouquet” of flowers for each individual harvest.
We use a blend of our favorite honey yards to make the best creamed honey possible. You will be getting a mixture of our most popular, best tasting honeys in your jar of creamed honey. IMPORTANT – the current batch is nicely smooth with a stronger than typical flavor.

WARNING ON CREAMED HONEY – if kept too warm, creamed honey will re-liquefy, fully or completely, into regular liquid honey. This may happen during shipping in hotter periods especially if the package is allowed to sit in the sun. During warmer times, SHIP AT YOUR OWN RISK. We do recommend shipping to a PO Box if nobody is home to receive the package and immediately bring it inside out of the sun. If slightly warmed, place in the refrigerator for one week before use to (sometimes) return it to the normal state.
